Sol del Este is a small, quiet resort-town with a few bar-restaurants and 2 supermarkets. It also has a small, gently shelving beach in a cove, just 3-4 minutes walk from the apartments.
However, less than 4 minutes by car (or around 10 minutes walk around the headland) is the bustling town of Es Castell with its wide selection of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, speciality shops and general facilities – as well as Calas Fonts, the lovely horseshoe-shaped fishing port and harbour of Es Castell, which boasts over 20 bars and restaurants, plus a street market and entertainers on several evenings per week during the season.
In addition, the capital of Mahon and its Port and Marina are just a further 4 – 5 minutes on. Within 15 minutes drive of Sol del Este, there is a good selection of excellent beaches available, both to the north and south east.
